A patent application from Apple has turned up that shows a very interesting dock for the iPhone. The dock uses a spongy elastic material co to conform to the iPhone.

A new rumor is circulating that started with Mobile Review EIC Eldar Murtazin. He sent out a Tweet that claims Foxconn has received an order for a new iPhone. If true, it may be the iPhone bound for another carrier in the US.

Apple has scrapped 1,000 apps in the App Store from a company called Molinker. The removal of the apps was following complaints that the developer was posting fame reviews of the apps. The apps were mostly travel guides for various cities.

Creative has unveiled a new ZiiSOUND D5 iPod dock that has none of the cool tech that ZiiLABS has been showing off. The dock is a plain old speaker dock, but it is a rather large one. The thing will sell for $299 and will ship in 2010.

A developer has spotted a usage record for an unannounced iPhone model called the iPhone 3,1. The reference was discovered in an analytics app after the iPhone 3,1 was used to access the iBART train schedule.

UK supermarket chain Tesco has announced that it will be selling the iPhone 3G and 3GS in its stores. The move is sort of like Walmart Supercenters in the US selling the device.

AT&T is getting beat up in the media by Verizon over its 3G coverage, which I will admit is shoddy in most areas. Apple has now come out with some adds that are taking up for AT&T. I wonder if those adds will keep running if Verizon gets the iPhone.
