A group of students has developed a cool new device for the iPhone and other iOS devices called Project HiJack. HiJack gets the power needed to run sensors and other items from the headphone port making developing accessories cheaper than normal methods.

Yesterday was the day that hoards of iPhone fans have been waiting for, the iPhone 4 hit Verizon. Western Digital has unveiled a new app for the iPhone 4 and other Apple devices that allows the user to view photos stored on certain WD external HDDs from anywhere with a web connection. The app is called WD Photo and can be downloaded for free.

If you a like the Netflix app on your iPhone 4 you will be glad to hear that the app has been updated. The update brings video out on the iPhone 4 allowing you to watch on a larger screen, bug fixes are also added to the app.

There has been some confusion amongst iPhone fans who want to buy the smartphone without a wireless service contract. Apparently, the only way to get one without a wireless service contract is to go into an AT&T retail store, you can't get them online.
