Rogers Wireless, Apple's Canadian iPhone partner, is shipping an 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS to stores, according to BGR. Looks like the 3GS would replace the low-cost 8GB iPhone 3G.

The first ever iPhone 3GS jailbreak application has finally been released by long-time Apple hacker, George Hotz. It’s currently Windows-only (7 not supported), the latest iTunes installed, and an iPhone 3GS with the 3.0 firmware. The process was amazingly simple.

The white iPhone 3GS reportedly overheats during a period of using the GPS and 3G of the phone, and its case changes color. Engadget says it turns a browner and Gizmodo reports as being pink.

Thanks to an unaddressed security flaw, the iPhone Dev Team have announced that they will soon update their ultrasn0w unlocking tool to work on the iPhone 3GS. The exploit, known as 24Kpwn, was first discovered in the iPod touch 2G, and used in the redsn0w tool to jailbreak that PMP.

How fast the iPhone 3GS's 3D graphics capabilities? Based on Daniel Pasco's some OpenGL ES speed test results for plasma on iPhone 3GS and an iPod touch, then John Casasanta, posted a few comparisons in 3D capabilities on iPhone 3G and 3GS. The result is: The 3GS is close to four times faster than the 3G!

Apple have announced they have sold over one million iPhone 3GS through Sunday, June 21st --the third day after its launch. Meanwhile six million users have downloaded iPhone OS 3.0 in the five days since it was released on Wednesday last week.
