Mobile receipts app makes iPhone a tax time pal

I am self employed which means I get killed on taxes each year. If it wasn't for the hoards of receipts that I collect each year, I would have to pay way more than seems fair in taxes each year. The hard part is keeping up with all those receipts until the taxman comes knocking. continued »

AT&T U-verse remote DVR app released for iPhone

AT&T have released a free iPhone and iPod touch application that allows U-verse subscribers control their DVR systems remotely.  The app, U-verse TV Mobile Remote Access, can display program listings and full descriptions of individual shows, as well as allow users to schedule program or series recordings. Apple reject Project Gutenberg app over Kama Sutra inclusion

Apple have again inflamed the App Store censorship debate, by rejecting an ebook reader application through which it was possible to search for - and view - classic text The Kama Sutra.  The app, Eucalyptus, shows text-only versions of out-of-copyright books from the Project Gutenberg archive. iPhone Skype confirmed: WiFi VoIP from Tuesday

After last week's rumors, Skype's iPhone client has been confirmed.  The VoIP software, which will be released on Tuesday March 31st, will be a free download and allow users to make free Skype-to-Skype calls over WiFi networks.  Alternatively, calls to landlines will cost 2.1 cents per minute. Google demo offline GMail webapp for iPhone: Video Demo
