Yes, it's a logical step for jailbreakers when facing this kind of case. GV Mobile developer Sean Kovacs has ported the Voice client over to Cydia for free --although donations are gladly accepted-- following Apple rejection on all Google Voice-enabled applications and Google’s official Google Voice application.

Apple had removed all Google Voice-enabled applications and also rejected Google’s official Google Voice application from the App Store "due to duplicating features that the iPhone comes with", according to various bloggers and news organizations.

Google recently released Google Latitude for iPhone and iPod touch as a web application and currently supports iPhone/iPod Touch OS 3.0 or above. For the time being, it's only available in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Yahoo has added voice search capabilities to their Yahoo Mobile 1.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch. Google already added voice recognition to their iPhone search application on November last year.

Awesome. Google has added labels to Gmail for iPhone, allowing users to use color-coded tags to manage their inbox. The new Gmail for mobile supports iPhone/iPod Touch OS 2.2.1 or above.

Google will block an iPhone application called Infinite SMS that harnesses its Google Talk chat program, the service's owner announced recently. "Got an email from Google. They say they’re going to start blocking sometime tomorrow, 11 March 2009," as Innerfence wrote in their site yesterday.

It's a great idea if we could access literature's greatest works right from our iPhone, right? Thanks to Google Book Search, over 1.5 million public domain books in the US (and over half a million outside the US) are now available for perusing on iPhone.
