Google Latitude “coming soon” for iPhone

Google’s just-announced Latitude, a service that lets you see your friends on a map and get in touch, is “coming soon” for the iPhone and iPod touch. Vic Gundotra, vice-president of engineering with Google’s mobile team, expects an iPhone version of this service will follow “very soon.” continued »

Google acknowledges skirting App Store rules

It seems Google has confirmed the notion that Google Mobile uses APIs that are undocumented, opening up the ability to use the built-in proximity sensor in the iPhone for verbal searches. Google delivers voice search free to iPhone owners
