iPhone 3G will have 3G fix with September software update

There have been many reports as of late that show a serious problem with the iPhone 3G's reception. For starters, as many as 3% of users do not get 3G reception at all, or very poorly at best. Infineon chip causing dropped calls on iPhone 3G; software update to provide fix
