Another government agency has left the BlackBerry smartphone behind and is adopting the iPhone. The NTSB has confirmed that it is leaving BlackBerry smartphones behind in favor of the iPhone 5 after existing BlackBerry devices begin to fail "at an unacceptable rate."

Apple has stated that it thinks one dollar or less per iPhone made is all Motorola's FRAND patents covering Wi-Fi and cellular technology are worth. Apple says that it will continue litigation if the licensing fee is any more than that amount.

The FCC has noted that it would review objections made against AT&T and proposed extra fees for using FaceTime over the carrier's wireless network. Consumer advocacy groups are up in arms because they believe AT&T is violating the FCC's open Internet rules.

Onkyo has announced that it has updated its remote control application for the iPhone called Onkyo Remote 2. The app allows users to stream music from their iPhone to Onkyo's 2012 networked receivers. The app also shows album art and track details.

I'm sure most of us are familiar with pull to refresh feature that is in several apps that run on the iPhone and iPad. Apparently, twitter has a patent application that covers pull to refresh so the days of that feature could be numbered on the other apps.

A man filed a lawsuit against AT&T in small claims court recently. The man's name is Matthew Spaccarelli. Apparently the man won in small claims court to the tune of $850 when the judge ruled against AT&T after deciding that AT&T had in fact broken its promise to provide unlimited data service.

AT&T has been catching a lot of heat recently over the throttling of data speeds for consumers that go over a certain bandwidth allowance each month. This is despite the fact that some studies have shown throttling does nothing to alleviate congestion on networks.
