Fans of digital reading in the UK will soon be able to get an updated version of the Barnes & Noble Nook app for the iPhone. The updated app adds support for British English and other languages along with VoiceOver functionality and more.

The FCC has noted that it would review objections made against AT&T and proposed extra fees for using FaceTime over the carrier's wireless network. Consumer advocacy groups are up in arms because they believe AT&T is violating the FCC's open Internet rules.

AT&T is gaining a bit on Verizon thanks to the iPhone. Last quarter AT&T sold 3.1 million iPhones and now has 85.1 million total subscribers.

I mentioned yesterday that there were rumors flying that AT&T could be ready to allow VoIP over its 3G network with apps like Google Voice and Skype. Previously VoIP apps on the iPhone were only working over Wi-Fi connections. AT&T officially informed Apple and the FCC yesterday that it would allow 3G VoIP service.

When Apple denied the Google Voice app it set off a storm of controversy in the industry. Rumors circulating now claim that tomorrow AT&T could announce that it will allow Skype and Google Voice on its network via the iPhone reports the Washington Post.
