A person that saw their iPhone upgrade date be pushed back several months claims to have called AT&T to ask why. According to the person, AT&T said it was because the iPhone 5 wouldn't hit until this September, which fits in with other rumors we have heard. continued »

Next-gen iPhone getting WiFi n, FM transmitter, more?

According to Apple Insider, the upcoming iPhone 3.1 - tipped in the latest Apple firmware leak - will use the Broadcom BCM4329 wireless chip.  That chip is known to support advanced power saving features, WiFi draft-n and FM receiving and transmitting, suggesting the new iPhone may be able to stream music to a car stereo. continued »

iPhone Skype confirmed: WiFi VoIP from Tuesday

After last week's rumors, Skype's iPhone client has been confirmed.  The VoIP software, which will be released on Tuesday March 31st, will be a free download and allow users to make free Skype-to-Skype calls over WiFi networks.  Alternatively, calls to landlines will cost 2.1 cents per minute.
