At least $1.5 million in checks have already been deposited via an iPhone app, which launched just five days ago, according to United Services Automobile Association bank. The app has been installed nearly 150,000 times, and more than 58,000 users to update their accounts.
USAA has just updated its free iPhone application, adding the ability to deposit checks wirelessly. Just taking a photo of both sides of the check using iPhone’s camera, then you can send the check’s image directly to USAA.
In order to reduce fraud, only qualified USAA customers –who had eligible credit score and insurance from USAA– can make deposits into their accounts over the air.

thats a cool app lets hope all the banks follow and focus on the potential fraud that could occur but iphones should be registered with the customer account maybe that could help.
I’m a member and used it. I was a little concerned, so I did a $20 check first. Now I use it whenever I get a check – it’s far faster even than their scanner-based onlince deposit, which I’ve used for years. It works like a dream.
This will be the good weblog for anyone who needs to find out about this subject. You recognize a lot its almost laborious to argue with you (not that I critically would want…HaHa)!!! You surely put a brand new spin on a topic thats been written about for decades. Great things, just good!
Good post! Thanks for your information!
