Accessory manufacturers are ramping up a gear, and the number of iPhone cases available is growing. Next up is a sheath and holster combo from Case-mate's Signature Line range, the case is made of Italian leather with an impact resistant moulded shell inside. It might not stop a bullet, but it will probably keep your phone safe from being dropped onto a particularly spiky bush.
The holster (which nobody in the UK would wear) is similarly made of matching leather, and has a multi-directional ratcheting belt clip that can rotate 360-degrees so as not to jab you in the groin when you sit down. I'm a great fan of things that don't jab you in the groin.
They're available individually (case for $34.99, holster for $24.99) or as a set for $49.99, with optional personalisation in a choice of three fonts.

This is actually a very nice set. It’s still not my thing to “wrap” the iPhone or iPod up with this type of cases. Anyone else feel the same way?
I’d still rather use the invisibleSHIELD and a regular hipcase of some sort to carry the iPhone around.
It is attractive. Will it fit in the cradle with the case on?

heck no! :) the iPhone barely fit in the cradle as is. it’s already a a tight fit, even with the super thin invisibleSHIELD.
That’s the other problem I have with these “types” of cases – they don’t fit nicely with the cradle – not that I use the cradle a lot. I just like the idea of using it when I feel like it.

CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! THE CASE WAS SO LOOSE IN THE HOLSTER THE PHONE FALLS OUT JUST BY TURNING IT UPSIDE DOWN…GOOD WAY TO LOSE YOUR PHONE…. RETURNED IT THE SAME DAY…. STILL SEARCHING FOR THE PERFECT CASE… SO FAR THE POWER SUPPORT CRYSTAL CASE IS LEADING BY FAR AND AWAY…..
BY THE PHONE FALLING OUT I MEANT WHILE IT WAS IN THE MATCHING CASE… CASE AND PHONE FALL OUT OF HOLSTER JUST BY INVERTING IT… HATE TO THINK WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN NORMAL WEAR…PROBABLY REACH DOWN FOR THE PHONE ONLY TO FIND IT WASNT THERE….
