While the easily-pleased are enjoying themselves pinching and flicking photos around the iPhone's screen, the work-obsessed are doing everything they can to get as much functionality out of the cellphone as possible. If you've ever wanted to access a file or do something remotely on your computer at home while out at the store then this next hack will likely appeal to you; coder Nate True has whipped up a custom version of the VNC remote client along with an HTTP server that will let you log in to your Windows machine over whichever connection your iPhone is using.

It's a pretty impressive implementation, too. To get around the lack of traditional mouse, when you tap on an on-screen icon, text or control you get a pop-up overlay including different clicks, scrolling, dragging/dropping and text entry.

Nate offers all the required files to try it yourself, but you may need to fiddle with router settings to get it working properly.
