An iPhone fan, Mat Brady, just created a mock-up design of what-he-called the iPhone ELITE. “Here’s the new iPhone Pro, something that we don’t expect at MacWorld 2009 at all. However, we do expect something like this to come at a later date. Why? Because it just makes sense,” as Gizmodo wrote.

Mat wrote in his blog:
I think my email to Mr Jobs says it all really…
“Hi Steve,
As you can see I’ve made a few design suggestions to your iPhone.
I’ve held off getting an iPhone until it gets a better camera. (See pic)Let me know when I can get rid of my N95.
Cheers,
Mat Brady”
He offers his dream features including: 60 GB memory, slide-out keyboard, true 16:9 screen ratio with 640x 360 resolution (just like Nokia 5800 Xpress Music already had) and front-facing camera.
Something missing? Tell us what you think!

Incredible Design
That’s the kind of iPhone that I’m going to buy. Not the crappy one today -_-… Until then, I’ll stick with my Blackberry
I have always been wanting the iPhone to look something like this, I just don’t think the iPhone could fit the keyboark with all these other features, because the screen and the keyboard already too off all the spaces, and the ZOOM camera won’t be able to zoom back if the keyboard is there. Also where would all the other stuff go? like the battery, memory, and so on……..
I know it’s a awesome design but we need to make it possible first :)
We could take out the keyboard and hope Apple updates their keyboard to landscape mode, it will be all possible that way :D
Yeah, it’s so hard to believe that Steve Jobs will AGREE to put a physical keyboard on the iPhone… :-(
BUY A PHONE THAT ALREADY HAD THOSE FEATURES? – I recomend the X1 :P
I personally really like the onscreen keyboard. I don’t want to slide something out to type. A better camera would be nice but not one that sticks out like that! A video camera would be sweet to. As for space… I really would like at least 1TB of space… and while we are making stuff up… how about a 50mb broadband connection! Wait there is more, how about a TV out feature? Maybe add a Tivo service? This is all going to seem way out of reach … for now. I am sure another 10 years and this will all be common.
the iPhone already has a TV Out feature.
How about an integrated form-fitted snap on appendage for the 3G iPhone that integrates extra battery power, low-power wifi, keyboard and an unlocked GSM transceiver. With a properly shaped form factor it would just be a thicker iPhone like the iPhone Elite (only removable).
The low-power wifi would serve two purposes: 1) connect the keyboard and 2) connect the unlocked GSM transceiver for roaming outside of AT&T country. Would something like that be feasible?
How about a TV in and out so it can work as a Tivo =)
Just out of curiousity. On the second picture, on the iPhone picture on the left, and on the top right of that iPhone picture, is that a sensor? If so, shouldn’t it not look like it’s a hole of some sort? xD But nice design I must say, I just think the keyboard should match the new MacBook Aluminums (Black), and the iPhone itself would have to be thicker from side view to have that keyboard, but it’s just a maybe right? Good job!
Unless, I’m guessing that’s a camera for Video Calling… xD
Ok I could understand better camera and more memory. Drop the physical keyboard stuff, because I’m sure most phones in two years time won’t have them. I can use both fine so don’t complain about not feeling the keys.
I don’t want t seem churlish, but to those who gasp ‘incredible design’… isn’t this just an iPhone with stuff crudely ‘shopped on?
I don’t care about a slide-out screen; it adds weight and bulk and always will. I’m now much faster on the software keyboard than I ever was on my HTC Universal with a massive hardware keyboard. The camera just needs a bump to 3.2 or 5MP with autofocus and perhaps a xenon flash, but most of all, it needs to be fast and responsive. It could do with a 720p video capture too.. The memory? 32GB is sufficient for a sync every week or so, as long as you create some really simple Smart Playlists.
Alex: You’re right LOL
Rory: 1TB of space? Yeah, we can use a bunch of applications, right?
TQuila: Totally agree with you about the low-power wifi and its possibly various functions.
Jachson: You’re right, nice design…
Graham: Totally agree with you, using a virtual keyboard is just a matter of habit. I hate this until I have a chance to use the touchscreen of the iPhone or 5800 Xpress Music.
Shuffer: Nice insight.
Can someone tell me if the iphone will ever have the feature of when you turn the phone side ways when txting the keyboard will be that way, and if you can send and recieve pics other then via email?
I want a horizontal keyboard like the blackberry storm and a video camera and more storage space and PICTURE MAIL!!!!
I love this design
I think the camera on the same side of the home button is cool, it would be good for video calling. 60GB memory is also nice. As for the camera on the back, I think it’s a bit too big. The physical keyboard has to go too.
yea, how are they going to fit all that stuff to it…?
Your design has bad HEURISTICS.
if you make an iPhone slide-able like an O2, it will break; the scratch-proof durable iphone will be a disaster. If you really want it slide-able it has to be made thicker, which no one wants on their iPhone.
I don’t have problem with the keys, the keys can be revamped instead. However iphone is far more smart. Its an exemplary product.
I salute iPhone. It’s simplicity is an art, need lot of tests and understanding to perform like the way it does.
this is ugly never buy it i like da new design iphone 4g
je suis pour l’iphone elite pour toutes ces capacité en + mes le probleme ces combien sa coute
That would be cool if…
~The camera didnt stick out of the phone
~The color was black
~The phone wasnt so tall
Other than that its alright. O yea, and the slide out key board!
When is the iPhone Elite going to come out i want to buy it ALREADY !
wow if that phone is in the app store you’ll see me in line
I have the motorola droid for that same reason. Let Motorola make their cellphones, leave the macbooks and imacs for apple.
