A growing part of our fascination with phones these days is the time we can spend playing games. We can only imagine that the iPhone will be no different. Apparently, the guys over at EA have the same idea.

Senior Vice President of EA Mobile Mitch Lasky has stated that they are in negotiations to produce games for the iPhone. This could be another huge benefit for the iPhone. We see a lot of games for cell phones, but you don’t really see any of the big name game companies showing interest in that market.

This is big news not only for would-be iPhone owners, but for anyone that appreciates mobile gaming. If EA starts producing good titles exclusively on the iPhone, other people are going to jump on board too. Next thing you know, every phone manufacturer has a major game company on their team.
