I can’t believe anyone gullible enough to believe Cingular’s exclusive on the iPhone last only two weeks. Apparently there are such people in this world. One in particular goes by the name Dave.
I’m not sure which is more shocking; this guy Dave actually believing what he’s being told, or I writing this article. Damn, it’s a slow day for iPhone news.

The New York Times cited that there are at least 3,000 types of iPod accessories that have received Apple’s blessing; that’s mind blowing! Most of these accessories include cases, earbuds and amplified speaker systems.
Apple blessed the iPhone with the same proprietary 30-pin connector, which allows many of these existing accessories to work with the handset out of the box. Others may require slight product modifications by the manufacturers.

Earlier today a collective sigh of relief was heard coming from prospective iPhone buyers throughout the world. Cisco and Apple officially resolved their dispute of the the rights to use the “iPhone†name.

Prudential Equity Group reports that Apple expects bulk of iPhone sales to occur at its own retail chain and for consumers to not expect new product categories for some time. Hell if that’s the case, why didn’t Apple just release the iPhone unlocked? That would have made life easier for everyone all around.

At this rate, we'll see the iPhone on the market before we hear a resolution to this matter. Then again, you never know, maybe Cisco wants to put it off that long. The stronger the sales, the more they are likely to get out of it if they win.

Allow me to refresh your memory of what Glenn Lurie, Cingular's president of national distribution told journalist at CES this year, I think they bent a lot.The way I see it, Cingular is the one being bent over by Apple, according to a recent report in the Wall Street Journal.
