If you're going to copy something, do a damn good job. That seems to be the motto of some of the Far-East designers, such as the Chinese company E-PDA behind the Nokia N95 clone you see below. The V16 - on the left, in case your eyes aren't too hot - takes the form factor of Nokia's all-singing, all-dancing smartphone, does away with the sliding keypad and slots in a bigger, touch-enabled screen.
While some of the features are similarly impressive - the 3-megapixel camera, for instance, and the dual SIM card slots - the V16 apparently lacks WiFi and there's no indication of GPS either. I suppose buyers have to console themselves with that 3-inch QVGA screen - ideal for photos and video - Bluetooth and handwriting recognition.
We're unlikely to see it outside of China, where it apparently retails for a third of the N95's cost.
