New HTC Touch device is really the Elf P3450?

Pocket-Lint snagged the image below and a couple of specs from CoolSmartphone, who supposedly got their mitts on the new HTC “Elf”. The “Elf” is also known as the HTC Touch P3450.

I don’t know all the special “touches” to the HTC Elf, but from what I’m hearing, they’re nifty. It sports a transflective 2.8-inch TFT touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and runs Windows Mobile 6 pro.

The snazzy new phone is reported as very slim-line, very sleek and pleasingly curvy in the hand. Similar to the Apple iPhone, there are only two buttons on the front - a call and release button.

The price and available of the HTC Touch / Elf is still unknown. As soon I know, you’ll know.

How can this be an iphone killer, when it’s running WM6???

I’d rather have a device running some variation of linux, like the motorola A1200, which by the way, this phone looks alot like…, than WM6…

Very true, there’s only one OSX, and it’s on the iPhone. Perhaps every other “mobile OS” is second class?

Hi JonnyB thats the same place i ordered mine from but it hasn’t turned up yet. I called the courier but they couldnt tell me when it was coming!!! It will be worth the wait though. Are you using the touchFLO with your finger or stylus?

  10. Teve says:

i heard not even Expansys have them in stock yet. so thanks for the tip where to get mine :D

  11. MikeBoys says:

Mine turned up just over an hour ago and is just on charge at the moment. First impression is that its a lot smaller than other HTC devices I have seen in the past. Just need to get used to touchFLO now!

sorry but I don’t see HTC mentioning a release for India yet.

  14. Zakir says:

Vincent, as you know India is a big market. If they are not releasing here means making big mistake.

lol was up with the “iphone” apple is just launching something and everyone likes it but the thing is “iphone” says phone on it meaning its supposed to b a cell phone but knowing apple its their 1st cell y get so excited its not a new “ipod” yea it has a touch pad and a “os” but really its more ment to b an ipod instead of a phone apples about looks not what u get whats the point of having a cell phone with os if u cant find any software for it… knowing apple they have thier own softwares so if ur cheep dont think about having this phone by the time when ur done buying stuff for it u could have gotten a notebook and apple products lac in battery life when it come to music players apple is very good “not the best cuz zune did make apple lil left behind even with their video ipods” of course ipod looks better but hey to m it only matters whats inside and knowing linux its for more media than a smartphone not compatible with many devices btw the phone is with cingular for us residence and there is a 2 yr agreement so even if u dont like the phone ull probably cant return it.. and to unlock this phone ull spend about another 100$ cuz only apple can unlock it do to lack of their softwares best thing to do is wait for couple of months after its release date so ull know what ur actually “getting”
