I have had several new cars during my adult life and most of them come with roadside assistance. All the cars that I had with roadside assistance, I never needed to use it. It seems like getting access to roadside assistance might be a pain in most instances.

Mini has announced a new app for the iPhone that allows owners of Mini vehicles covered by the factory roadside assistance to get assistance directly from the Mini app. The app was developed by Allstate Roadside Services and automatically supplies the assistance provider with all the info about the vehicle needed for service including its exact location.
Using the app the owner can get assistance for all issues from flat tires to a jump start. The app streamlines the entire help process and lets the user send all that is needed with a few presses of the screen. Once the request is confirmed the app provides the owner with an ETA on assistance and makes follow-ups with the owner. The app is free to all Mini owners.
