Most of us have probably heard the allegations of some Apple devices like iPod or laptops blowing up. A new incident has happened in France and the teenage user claims to have been injured by the shattering iPhone.

The teen was apparently using his girlfriends iPhone when it made a hissing noise and the screen suddenly broke and sent shards of glass flying in the air. One of the shards reportedly hit the teen in the eye.

The teen's mom contacted Apple and told the company, "My son was frightened but he did not lose an eye." This report comes only a week after an iPod allegedly exploded in Britain. There is no official response from Apple at this time.
