The FCC released detail on a patent that Apple filed regarding a secondary backlight. The backlight would show status updates such as new email, text message or missed calls without having to turn the primary backlight on, thus saving battery life. Another iPhone 3G ad bites the dust in the UK

Wow, the advertising conditions in the UK are pretty strict! An Apple ad was pulled earlier this year, but now another iPhone 3G ad was pulled from UK TV because it apparently exaggerated the performance speed of the iPhone 3G. iPhone 2.2 SDK offers up TV out functions

Google acknowledges skirting App Store rules

It seems Google has confirmed the notion that Google Mobile uses APIs that are undocumented, opening up the ability to use the built-in proximity sensor in the iPhone for verbal searches. Mobiles.co.uk gets the iPhone 3G

It seems like everyday a new retailer is getting their hands on an Apple product. Today, it was announced Mobiles.co.uk now will be selling the iPhone 3G in the UK. The FCC has recently published a patent for Apple that describes a secondary lighting system that can be used to give status updates on the iPhone while it is locked. iPhone Dev Team delivers 2.2 jailbreak with a warning

As promised the iPhone Dev team has delivered the 2.2 firmware jailbreak in the form of the Pwnage tool and Quickpwn for both Mac and Windows machines.
