Apple patent digital media sharing during iPhone calls

Apple patented a new system for inserting media into an ongoing phonecall, enabling iPhone owners to share music, video, image, voicemail or podcasts during conversation. New patent outlines multi-touch swipe gestures for iPhone keyboard

Wow. A new patent application for iPhone during Christmas holiday! The new patent called Swipe Gestures for Touch Screen Keyboards and creditted to Wayne Westerman. Seems it's very useful additions to the iPhone's on screen keyboard. But MacRumors says that Westerman multi-touch patent applications "always seem to be more ambitious than practical". Apple Patent Application #20080174570 hint at support for Flash and Windows Media content
