In another “WTF?” move from Apple over the weekend, they lowered the number of iPhones that you can purchase at one time from 5 to 2 per person. So let me get this straight, they dropped the price by $200 in a very short time and pissed off all the early adopters and said that it was so they could sell more during the holiday season, yet now they are lowering ...

Mere days after the Jailbreak solution for iPhones running firmware version 1.1.1 comes the iPhone Dev Team's full unlocksoftware - and unlike commercial ventures like iPhone SIM Free, AnySIM will cost you nothing. The software has been tested on both 1.0.2 iPhones as well as 1.1.1, and apparently allows you to use any carrier's SIM with the cellphone.

It looks like France Telecom’s Orange will be getting the iPhone after all, it will go for 399 Euro with a contract. Apple will see 30% of those contracts too.

Apparently the software was even available for download for a while last night, but then got pulled of the shelves, figuratively. The reason is, I guess this version was causing problems, but the iPhone Dev ...

So to the simple-minded like myself, what does this mean? It means they are close to an unlock for 1.1.1.
They are also working towards some sort of a solution for the numerous bricks out there. We have already reported the fact that iPhoneSIMFree already has a solution, and that it already fixes your bricked products, so if you have the dough, I’d still recommend using their product since it seems ...

So, in the no big surprise there category, iPhoneSIMFree, the people who make money from unlocking phones, have figured out a way to unlock version 1.1.1 phones. What was nice about the iPhoneSIMFree unlock when apple release 1.1.1 was that those phones weren’t bricked, just re-locked back to AT&T.
So, even better than iPhoneSIMFree releasing a 1.1.1 unlock, is that the software will also un-brick any iPhone that was unlocked with ...
