Are you hoping to purchase an iPhone or two for your business? Don't get too excited. Apparently AT&T does not plan to offer the coveted phone to those on a business plan.

Apple iPhone

This is the latest move that shows us that for some reason Apple isn't really aiming the iPhone at business customers. Personally, I think that they are going to lose more than a few customers on this one. Perhaps this is part of the deal with AT&T. They figure that if they deny the business users access to the iPhone, they will just set up personal accounts instead.

This is still rumor, as it has not actually been confirmed by either Apple or AT&T. What do you guys think? Is this a poor move on their part? Would any of you be swayed from purchasing the iPhone if you couldn't use it on a business plan?

All in all the business plan would be a lot cheaper if they made one for the iPhone because it will be a necessity for unlimited data and SMS texting the rollover minutes would be nice but I think that a business plan should be made period.

Business plan. No business plan. I’m the guy with the iPhone. No difference here. Unlike most people, I guess, I don’t expect anything from the iPhone except the best user-experience I’ve ever had on a cell phone. That’s it. 3rd party apps? Sure, that would be nice, and I might even buy some (think Frenzic). But I’m not buying the phone for 3rd party apps. GPS? Sorry. Don’t use it now. Don’t plan on using it as I have no need for it. MMS? Don’t care. iChat? Sure, that would be cool, but I’m not buying iPhone to IM my buds. Business plan? Please. If it required one, and that only – I’d buy a business plan. If it requires a personal plan – I’m there. Whatever it takes.

I want the phone for what it is, not for what people think it should be. I think that is the cause of most people’s heartburn with it. They are not accepting it for what Steve has said it will do. They are comparing it to what they wish it would do, knowing that it has OS X on it.
