I thought they already lost this battle, was I wrong? Apparently as they are rumored to be planning a protest for the UK iPhone launch.

I wonder how dumb they will feel protesting without a reference point for what they want. They can’t protest for the device to follow EU regulations, it already does, so basically they are protesting because the iPhone doesn’t follow their own prescribed standards.

I bet they use paper products and wood posts for their picket signs, and they will probably use some sort of ink that more environmentally un-friendly than the iPhone. So go ahead, have your little rally and prove to everyone just how unreasonable you are, in the meantime those iPhones will still be selling like crazy on the 9th.

Come on Brady, can you say Apple FanBoy? How do you feel about
cancer caused by the iPhone? Wouldn’t you prefer Apple do better?
Wouldn’t you prefer Apple at least follow the State of California’s
lax laws, as reported on this website? I know I would.
The protests are working, otherwise they would not be continued. They
are raising awareness on and changing the nature of the debate.
As to your gratitious attack on environmentalists, when they purchase
signs, they are usually made with sustainably harvested wood products
and non-toxic inks.
Greenpeace is standing up for what is right! Large corporations like Apple should be leading by example in situations like this. Any sales of the Iphone that Greenpeace can prevent will help to push the a-hole Steve Jobs to do the right thing. Keep it up Greenpeace, we need you!
I read your little site here all the time, and it always makes me laugh - I love the way you read a headline somewhere, and then write something based on your interpretation of what you think could possibly be in the article. Seriously, you’ve got the banner from the eco folks right there on your site - they want less toxic chemicals, and they’ve specifically nailed which ones they want out. Mainly, the ones proven to hurt people. It’s really simple.
I’m sure if there was a company making picket signs with bromine, etc, that sold millions of picket signs each year that were not made sustainably or incorporated toxic chemicals, they would picket those too.
It’s great reading you! Your irrationality goes a long way towards building credibility for them.
