Loading ...Rumors about an LG Prada sporting Windows Mobile 6 roam the Internet, but no one produced any proof – until now. This is another exclusive piece, brought to you by our eagle eye Ahbao of SlashPhone.
Seeing these images will bring tears of joy to many folks – especially those love their Windows Mobile smartphones. From what I can gather, it does run Windows Mobile 6, ARM’s processor, has about 93.85 MB of memory free, and sports HSDPA / HSUPA. The label says advertises that a 5Mbytes MP3 file can be downloaded in 6 seconds. Uploading a 1MByte image takes about 5 seconds. Gaming is real time, super fast web browsing, VoIP, and interactive IPTV!

google for LG KE850 - that was the original name before it was rebranded to Prada.
You’re right - it may not be a Prada or called Prada but it’s definitely by LG and I’m pretty darn sure it sports the same screen technology that’s on the Prada phone. I read rumors that LG made two versions and on this second version, the screen was especially adapted for Windows Mobile 6.

Erm, am I missing something here? The body doesn’t look the same. The pictures I’ve seen of the Prada have a silver bar running along the bottom. This one also looks a bit stumpier…

yeah, the prada version of the phone has a metal bar along the bottom with the ’send’ and ‘end’ keys. and honestly, WM6 may have a bigger base of third-party apps, but it looks so gross compared to some of the OSes being made for all touchscreen phones (including OS X mobile, the samsung/adobe UI on the Samsung UltraSmart phones, and the prada-designed UI on the KE850 prada edition.) so i’d rather pony up the extra money for a phone with a pleasant-to-use UI, but it doesn’t matter to me because i’m stuck on CDMA anyway.

The prada phone interface is flash based. And we all know how fast that runs. It looks nice but also looks painfully slow.
How can anyone look at windows mobile and get excited.
The neodyne phone is just more buttons with some gestures to scroll… WOW. They really don’t get it. They had a touchscreen to change the way you press buttons?

I don’t think it’s a far stretch for LG to put wm6 on the LG
Prada- I’m confident that this version is using the same Clearpad touch-screen technology by Synaptics. AND believe it or not, according to my private meeting with Synaptics, the foundation for the Onyx Concept phone which the Prada is based off of - is in fact running Windows CE with Flash on top of it.Video demonstration of the screen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJIC07YgcDk
I’m very excited for the Windows Mobile camp that LG will hopefully release a WM6 version and not just the Flash crap.

the iPhone will only work in AT&T network in the US (unless someone can unlock it). No info available regarding monthly plans. You must live in an area where AT&T provides coverage in order to buy the iPhone.
