Remember that crazy website claiming that they could fully unlock the iPhone, but they just needed another 48 hours to do it? Apparently they've stepped up to the plate and shown just what they can do.

They contacted the guys over at Engadget promising that they could in fact completely unlock the phone. After just a few minutes of installing the software, they had indeed made good on their claim. The iPhone was then able to accept a T-Mobile SIM card and allowed them to make and receive phone calls and even connect to the internet vie EDGE.
The only thing that they couldn't get to work was the visual voicemail, but we kind of expected that since it's an AT&T thing. If you're a non-believer they even posted a video that shows them making a call on the iPhone using a T-Mobile SIM. Congrats to the iPhoneSIMfree team and sorry we ever doubted you, but with all of the wild claims going around these days can you blame us?

what about updates from apple, will these still be functional on the unlocked version.
That should cause the price of the I-Phone to “come down to earth”, Right?
