What you're about to watch isn't ground breaking but it does explain a few more things about the iPhone. There are four key items discussed in the video, calendar application, how to view traffic on Google Maps, another method of scrolling through long lists and finally how the ringtones play a role in iTunes and the iPhone.
Steve Jobs did not demo the Calendar application because it was not completed in time for Macworld. The speculation around adding new events on the fly seemed to be "no, calendar doesn't allow creating new events on the fly." In light of new information, there's a "plus" button on the upper right hand corner of the application. We can assume pressing this button triggers the action of adding a new event.

The Google Map demo reveal two additional buttons; the lower right is possibly used to reveal traffic info use for getting directions, while the one on the lower left is used for entering info among other things finding restaurants (thanks for the corrections Paulo!).

Flicking your finger to scroll through a list isn't the only way to get around. As demonstrated in the video, it's likely possible to just simply click on a letter, allowing you to jump directly to that section.

Finally, when Steve Jobs was asked if it's possible to use songs as ringtones, he answered, it has not been decided yet. Again, it's possible the ambiguous answer by Jobs was to hide the truth that it's already been decided. Why else is there a new tab in iTunes that says Ringtones on it? So is Apple selling ringtones for the iPhone? It's very likely, so yes.

It's also worth noting that iTunes sport another new tab labeled Personal. This is probably going to be used for configuring the iPhone.

Well there you have it. Chris thanks for the tip. These are spectacular findings!

I can’t even see how you guys analysed so poorly the second image relating to the “used to reveal traffic info, while the one on the lower left is used for entering info among other things.” as you described it.
It’s clear that the icon on the right relates to a sort of “Get directions” and the icon on the left surelly relates to “Find Restaurant”. Both are international symbols!
Clicking the following link, you can find some pics that i created so you can all see what i am talking about.
Paulo, thanks for pointing out the corrections. The article is updated with the new info.
I also forgot to mention that in the calendar image you guys didn’t realyze that the icon that you don’t understand is really a button saying “Today” Just like we have the little middle button in iCal calendar
Again, clicking the following link, you can find some pics that i created so you can all see what i am talking about.

If the car icon actually *is* traffic info, then the icon on the left may be an up arrow next to a down arrow, signifying directions.
Then again, when I saw the car I assumed it was for directions. Makes sense that the left icon would be a knife and spoon.
Its funny how everyone thinks they know something before hand. The Left Icon is an up and down arrow, and the right icon is a car that shows traffic… THese pages should be removed so people searching for information who currently have an iPhone wont be confused.
well this is the nature of the beast. we try to keep readers informed, right or wrong.
Vincent Nguyen,
You were originally correct about the Traffic, but the button you thought was Food is Directions.
