iPod Touch & Nano leaked photos garner Apple’s ire

by Chris Davies on August 23, 2007

Remember that squat little iPod mockup we threw together back when the first next-gen iPod hardware rumours drizzled out?  Well, a couple of days ago 9to5Mac.com got their hands on what it was claimed were authentic photos of the next model in Apple's Nano line, only to have the Cupertino legal beagles snap at their mouse cords and demand they pull the pics.  Sadly enough, the supposed real-deal looks unfortunately like our ... continued »

Modded OEM iPhone handsfree

by Chris Davies on August 23, 2007

If your ears are anything like mine (and my doctor assures me I'm not a total freak, so there must be others out there with the same issue) then standard headphones - as dangling on the ends of Apple's handsfree kit - just don't fit very well.  They either fall out every few seconds or I'm forced to screw them in so tightly it becomes painful... so that they only ... continued »

Brave analysts begin predicting iPhone sales again

by Chris Davies on August 22, 2007

After the "iPhone sells eighteen billion handsets in just three minutes!" analyst prediction debacle around launch weekend, so far those whose job it is to foretell sales performance have been pretty quiet.  Well, no longer, as UBS' Ben Reitzes has peeped his head out from under the analysts' shell to suggest that Apple's fourth-quarter sales will hit 800k.   continued »

Easy music sharing on iPhone

by Chris Davies on August 22, 2007

If you've tried loading the Installer.app software onto your iPhone then you've probably had a look through the community applications section to see what the home-brew crowd are getting up to.  What you might have missed, however, is an app called Song Sender - imaging something like the Zune's media sharing feature only without the tedious 3 play/3 day limit, and with no need to be physically near whoever you're ... continued »
