While so far the major names in instant-messaging have steered clear of releasing iPhone-compatible clients for their platforms, that hasn't stopped employees dabbling in a little Apple-IM on the side. Joining the existing array of IM options comes TinyBuddy, an AOL client written by the company's own James Burke.

I've heard a few people say they love their iPhone, but up until now I didn't know you could find love with it. Apple's cellphone is the latest gadget to get picked up by speed-dating aficionados, with jam-packed iDating parties being organised in cities across the country.

iFuntastic, the easy to use GUI for adding custom ringtones to your iPhone, has only been out a few days and already we're up to version two. It's no small improvement dressed as a major one, either; ringtone compatibility is increased, you can now change the carrier logo and also rearrange the order of the home-screen icons simply by dragging and dropping them.

Right now, if you don't want to be tied into an AT&T contract you can unlock your iPhone and use it as a portable WiFi web-browser and video iPod.
