Back when I regularly used an HP iPAQ one of the most useful upgrades was ditching the awful PocketIE browser and using one of the third-party alternatives - primarily because it added tabbed browsing. Apple may not comment on rumors and speculation, but even they would likely agree that Jim Goldman may have just scuppered at least part of their holiday season profits. With the iPhone and iPod Touch both having WiFi, it's mightily confusing that Apple are yet to enable wireless synchronisation with iTunes rather than having to directly dock the gadgets with your PC or Mac. Developer francisois agrees, but rather than grumble under his breath has instead set to work with his own software, iPhone iSync, that's attempting to unlock that functionality.

Although 1.1.3 isn't a major iPhone upgrade number such as 1.0 to 1.1, it is rumored that the iPhone may have some new features as soon as this weekend. iPhone hacker hachu developed a plugin for Mobile Safari recently that allows users to download any file off the internet. Once opening up the page, a button that says 'Download' will appear before Quicktime, or any other media has the chance to load. All downloads will be saved into /var/root/Downloads, allowing you to use the media online, or offline.

gpsPhone has come a long way since the beginning, with practically a new update everyday. The dev team appears to be working very hard on getting this to a stable, reliable state. In v1.0.0, major changes that effect gameplay went down.
