Apple launch 16GB iPhone & 32GB iPod Touch
A few weeks later than many expected, Apple have finally announced a memory upgrade for both the iPhone and iPod Touch. The iPhone has a new 16GB model join the range, priced at $499, while the iPod Touch line is bolstered by a 32GB model. Both are otherwise identical to the previous versions, which remain on sale, and feature the 1.1.3 firmware preinstalled.

Apple purposefully “cannibalizing” iPhone sales to push iPod Touch

Apple Russia caught up in PR nightmare
In a turn of events that almost seems too bizarre to be true, Russian journalist and 14-year Mac user Alex Patsay has written an open letter to Apple PR following what sounds to be a disastrous launch event in Moscow. CorePlayer, a favorite amongst many Windows Mobile and other mobile platform users has been ported to the iPhone and iPod touch. CorePlayer offers media management to completely avoid using iTunes.
