Audi A4 Driving Challenge hits the App Store

In an effort to promote the 2009 A4 sedan, Audi just released the Audi A4 Driving Challenge, which is free to download from the App Store. While the object of the game is more promotion than actual gameplay, it's still a fun download.

Actual gameplay is not all that complicated. In fact, the goal is to drive the A4 through three different laps on five courses, each of which is more difficult than the last. The accelerometer is used to control the steering of the vehicle and buttons on the screen are used to accelerate and hit the brakes.

There are also gauges on screen that show your speed, lap time and course time. Even though this app can't really compare to the other driving games for the iPhone, this one does have a slight advantage--a recognizable name and a $0 price tag. Audi has also created a mini website devoted to the A4 specifically for iPhone users.
