Opera has launched the latest version of its web browser for iPhone users to take advantage of. The new version is Opera Mini 6 and it is offered for the iPhone 4 and the iPad right now.

Opera mini for iPhone was just approved recently and already the new browser has had a million downloads. iPhone and iPad users are flocking to the only other browser offering available right now.

The only announcement that could have surprised me more than Apple approving Opera Mini for the iPhone would be Apple supporting Flash. I really expected Opera to be blocked, it will be cool to have an alternative browser.

One of the things that has been missing from the App Store for a long time is a way to give apps as a gift. That issue has now been fixed with the addition of a new Gift This App option on the app store.

ChannelWeb reports that hackers who were banned from the App Store for violating AT&T rules are scoffing at Apple. Most of these hackers are more known for work on Jail Break software that malicious code.

Of all the things I wish my iPhone had, a different browser isn't one of them. If you want an alternative to Safari, Opera will be showing off a version if its Mini browser for the iPhone at MWC.

Many mobile phone enthusiasts can testify that Opera Mini is a really nice mobile web Browser. Reports have surfaced stating that Apple has rejected an Opera Mini application for the iPhone.
