Anyone who follows the iPhone knows that the devices are unveiled at WWDC, set to kick off in only a few days. The launch of a new iPhone will mean the iPhone 3G will be killed off and the select button to buy the device has been removed from the Apple Store, is this a sign of things to come.

Reports are coming in that AT&T originally had the iPhone exclusive deal tied up until 2012. The deal was allegedly confirmed when a response from Apple to a lawsuit alleging monopoly was filed with courts.

The world knows that Gizmodo and parent Gawker Media paid $5,000 for the iPhone HD or 4G prototype that was lost in a bar in California. Gawker head Nick Denton figures the whole thing cost him about $20,000 for the handset, bonuses, and bandwidth. The money made from the exclusive is estimated to be $200,000.

Those images of the iPhone HD that have been turning up have a bit more of a story to go with them now. After a tear down, the device found in a bar in California is apparently the real deal lost by an employee out for a night on the town. Someone needs to dust off their resume.

The only announcement that could have surprised me more than Apple approving Opera Mini for the iPhone would be Apple supporting Flash. I really expected Opera to be blocked, it will be cool to have an alternative browser.
