ChannelWeb reports that hackers who were banned from the App Store for violating AT&T rules are scoffing at Apple. Most of these hackers are more known for work on Jail Break software that malicious code.
Opera is claiming that its Mini browser for the iPhone is six times faster than Safari. I remain confused to why Opera developed the app when Apple won’t allow apps that perform things its own software will.
The Meebo app for iPhone has hit the App Store. The app lets a user bring IM contacts form multiple services to the iPhone, it sounds like Trillian for the iPhone to me.

There are many browser apps in the app store already. In fact many of them seems to be a very good replacement of safari.Looking forward to opera mini
From what I understand, the existing “browsers” are using safari to power themselves. So they aren’t new browsers, just new packages for the existing one. Personally I think safari is fine and would rather not have another company rendering all my web browsing for me.
Well safari was good, but I like to have the choice and not just be TOLD what I can have on something I have spent alot of money on.
I had an iphone early 09 and I could live with the limited features compared to other phones (camera, mms, bluetooth etc) but the thing that made me change was the net..as great as it was I was not on a unlimted net plan..I was fixed at like 500mb a month and after standard browsing that would be gone with in week then I would pay a fortune after.
I would welcome opera as it has the compression software built in to make large sized megabyte pages to only a few k….yes you dont have flash, you dont have ANY flashy kinda stuff that either safari or a computer browser shows but you have fast basic internet. If I wanna use net at home, I use my laptop not my phone…if im out an wanna use the net I have my phone..simple as.
