Modded OEM iPhone handsfree

by Chris Davies on August 23, 2007

If your ears are anything like mine (and my doctor assures me I'm not a total freak, so there must be others out there with the same issue) then standard headphones - as dangling on the ends of Apple's handsfree kit - just don't fit very well.  They either fall out every few seconds or I'm forced to screw them in so tightly it becomes painful... so that they only ... continued »

MY iTablet Review: BlueAnt z9 Bluetooth Headset

by Vincent Nguyen on August 15, 2007

UPDATE 1/3/2008: BlueAnt V1 Voice Controlled Bluetooth Headset It's rare that you can make such a sweeping statement as this, but the BlueAnt z9 Bluetooth Headset is the new gold standard for all future Bluetooth headsets - hands down. It earns a 4.9 out of 5. I'm not the only one that thinks the z9 deserves the highest award possible, because it was the winner of a CES 2007 ... continued »

Audi & Apple boast in-car integration

by Chris Davies on August 14, 2007

What a happy coincidence: here was me just about to drive a brand new Audi A8 off the lot, when the German firm join hands with Apple and issue a gushing press release about their latest in-car couplings.  No, this isn't some sort of unpleasant cellular dogging experience, it's Audi bigging-up their optional Bluetooth interface which - surprise surprise - is compatible with the iPhone.  There's also a cable on ... continued »

Logic3 unveil first made-for-iPhone travel speakers

by Chris Davies on August 14, 2007

Frankly, when I first looked at these Logic3 travel-speakers, I wasn't too impressed.  Let's face it, they look a bit cheap and that shiny logo?  Nasty.  But for the price - £29.99 ($60.52) - I suppose you can't argue too much, and that slide-expand motion is quite cool.   continued »

BlueAnt Z9 Bluetooth Headset looks very promising

by Chris Davies on August 2, 2007

Our man Vincent may be married to his iPhone, but he's rather promiscuous when it comes to Bluetooth headsets. He's always searching for the gold standard in hands-free, and while so far he seems to be leaning toward the Gennum NX6000 that hasn't stopped him dallying with SoundID's SM100 EarModule and Apple's own Bluetooth Headset. The latest beauty to wink at him and get him all flustered is ... continued »

First look: Marware Sidewinder Smart holster for iPhone

by Vincent Nguyen on July 26, 2007

Marware's Sidewinder case for the iPhone is the Swiss Army knife of cases. First of all it’s a low-profile holster. The reversible-mounting holster lets you carry the iPhone face out for visibility or face in for maximum protection. I like the concept of a retractable management system and a slot for the Apple branded Bluetooth headset, but there’s a certain level of nerdiness that even I cannot ... continued »
