Well, it's finally after 6PM and people on the East Coast are no doubt basking in the greatness of the iPhone. However, those looking to go online are still shut out until 6PM PDT. We already knew this of course, but Apple has gone ahead and shut down the store.

While Vincent suffers rain, our other Apple-aholic Ewdi just had to wander down to his local AT&T and get in line this morning to catch the number nine spot. Waiting since 9am (and looking pretty happy in this photo), it's early afternoon as I write this and he's only been joined by another five or so people.

I was in the right place at the right time when I snagged this clip of Steven Levy with Newsweek, being interviewed by Brian of CNBC. If you recall, Steven is one of two people in Manhattan and one of four people in the country to receive a review unit.

The wait is almost over, and it will definitely be worth every single second living on the streets of Manhattan over the past two days.
Remember that Apple and AT&T will close down for a few hours and reopens at 6PM local time to start selling the iPhone. The 4GB and 8Gb sell for $499 and $599, respectively.

Apple store employees are going to have their work cut out for them with the upcoming iPhone release. With the iPhone bringing so many new features, a lot of changes will have to be made before the 29th of June.
