iPhone 2.0 Screenshots and quick demo video

Hackintosh and Gizmodo both posted screenshots and a short video of the forthcoming iPhone 2.0 firmware. New stuff easily seen consist of support for Exchange, AppStore, Parental Controls, SDK Support, more advanced calculator, Cisco VPN support, Mail mass deletion. Apple WWDC 2008 confirmed June 9th-13th

Apple have announced the dates for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2008, which will be held June 9th through to the 13th in San Francisco. With the slogan "A landmark event. In more ways than one", Apple will be focusing on development for OS X Leopard and the new iPhone SDK, while the keynote will likely be held on Monday 9th. continued »

Naja King by ThoughOut Review

This isn’t the first ThoughtOut iPod/iPhone holder I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing, but the PED3, the last model I reviewed, definitely gave me far fewer problems. The idea behind this stand is great, but something about the “coil” causes the implementation to have some pretty serious problems, as a regular stand, but it more than makes up for it with its extreme usefulness in awkward positions. continued »

Google: We’ll far outsell iPhone; our SDK lets you do more

If Google's Rich Miner was a developer, he'd be coding for the iPhone; however, he's actually Group Manager for Mobile Platforms, and as such is more interested in boosting Android's profile with confident predictions that handsets based on the platform will wildly outsell Apple's cellphone. PosiMotion GPS for iPhone connects by WiFi not Bluetooth

While Apple's iPhone SDK will give far more official flexibility for third-party developers, there are still limitations on what functionality coders will be able to take advantage of. Not permitting background processes is one of the better known restrictions, but Apple has also said that third-party software will not be able to access the dock connector or Bluetooth either.
