Possible Apple Tablet concept

Posted on 06 November 2007 by

Sure, it is just something some Apple fan boy came up with, but I doubt him or the other members of the Factory Joe blog are too far off. Chances are real good that we actually can expect something of this nature soon. They even supposition the idea of up to a 64GB SSD, sure, that sounds great, but right now ... continued »

Rumor: Greenpeace protesting at European iPhone Launch

Posted on 06 November 2007 by

I thought they already lost this battle, was I wrong? Apparently as they are rumored to be planning a protest for the UK iPhone launch. I wonder how dumb they will feel protesting without a reference point for what they want. They can’t protest for the device to follow EU regulations, it already does, so basically they are protesting because ... continued »

Posted on 05 November 2007 by

It’ll brick your hacked iPhone and maybe iPod Touch, no word on whether its replicating to the iPod Touch line yet though. What do you get for your as yet un-hackable firmware upgrade? You get more languages and their corresponding keyboard layouts if applicable. Other than that there is a TIFF exploit patch. continued »

O2 lifts data cap for iPhone

Posted on 05 November 2007 by

So a while back I wrote a story about how most of the European companies that were getting the iPhone had some pretty strict data usage policies, O2 being one of them. Well, as of now, O2 is awaiting November 9th, the day when the iPhone will actually go on sale in the UK, and they have lifted the specified ... continued »

AT&T introduces international data plans for iPhone

Posted on 02 November 2007 by

In a move seemingly to reduce the number of unlocked iPhones, AT&T has offered up some middle ground for those not wanting to get raped by international calling and data charges. There are two new plans, the top one tacks on $60 to your current bill and nets you 50MB of data per month, but that’s just the start of ... continued »

The Carphone Warehouse hoping to push 10k iPhones out the doors

Posted on 02 November 2007 by

And that’s on launch day alone! Speaking of over zealousness, in case you forgot, or don’t know, Carphone Warehouse is the retailer that is getting the iPhone to sell on O2’s behalf in the UK. Furthermore, if you live in, on, or around one of those stores, on November 9th, you might want to not be there for the hours from ... continued »

Time Magazine names iPhone Invention Of the Year

Posted on 02 November 2007 by

I think its pretty well suited too, I cant think of a single thing that was announced and sold this year that did near as well as the iPhone did. The article starts by stating most of the arguments you might pose against the iPhone winning such an award, all the downsides, of the iPhone basically. Then they get to the ... continued »

iPhone cause for smartphone price hike

Posted on 01 November 2007 by

Now its all just speculation right now, but its sounding more and more like the iPhone could cause other smartphones’ prices to go up. How? The more they try and be like the iPhone to more expensive the components become, namely the flash memory and multi-touch screen technology. Flash memory is probably the most expensive part that other companies are looking ... continued »

Posted on 01 November 2007 by

I knew as soon as I saw the first jailbreakme.com story that someone was going to go to an Apple store and Jailbreak the display model. Sure enough it happened, and now here is a picture. Sure, it could be fake, but I would venture to guess that since it would take longer to photoshop it than to navigate to jailbreakme.com ... continued »

Posted on 31 October 2007 by

Thanks to Telstra Apple could be launching their iPhone in the land down under. Although maybe not unless Apple launches a 3G version. You see, Telstra is rolling out a huge 3G network which is scheduled to be completed by January, so they are eager to find a major release device to launch on it, a 3G iPhone would surely fit ... continued »
