iPhone and iPad users in Europe that want to watch live digital TV on their devices can now do that with a cool TV hotspot called tizi. The hotspot can tune DVB-T/DTT/TNR and sends the live TV to the iPhone over a WiFi connection.

Apple reported its quarterly earnings reports yesterday and racked up a record revenue of $20.34 billion and a quarterly profit of $4.31 billion. The company sold 14.1 million iPhones during the quarter.

Apple may be a behemoth in the technology world today, but back during the time of John Sculley in the early 90's Apple very nearly went under before Steve Jobs came back and saved the day. Apple has been granted a limited patent on pinch-to-zoom technology for multitouch displays. The patent has a few limitations that will mean most phones on the market are fine with their pinch-to-zoom. Apple's patent covers pinch-to-zoom and then pinching to zoom again within a set period.

Apple's Farrel Farhoudi, senior director for iPhone service, is going to face an inquiry in Korea over complaints about the iPhone 4. The South Korean parliament has demanded that the Apple exec show up for questioning on complaints that Apple is providing refurb handsets rather than giving new models, repairing existing phones, or giving refunds when a users has issues.
