Apple has been granted a limited patent on pinch-to-zoom technology for multitouch displays. The patent has a few limitations that will mean most phones on the market are fine with their pinch-to-zoom. Apple’s patent covers pinch-to-zoom and then pinching to zoom again within a set period.

Being able to buy the iPhone in more stores is a good thing when you are trying to find the smartphone. The iPhone is headed to Target and Sam’s Club soon with the device being one of the first in the Target mobile phone center. No specific dates on when the iPhone will hit the locations is known.

Foxconn has confirmed that there will be price increases on the cost to build the iPhone. At the same time, Foxconn denies that Compal and other major makers of handsets for Apple and other people are trying to use the price increase to steal the lucrative manufacturing contract from Foxconn.
