16GB iPhone 3G is “End of Life” says handset supplier

Vodafone retail staff have been alerted that the iPhone 3G 16GB has apparently been classified as End Of Life (EOL), with stock accordingly limited.  The news comes courtesy of supplier Brighthand, who warn that there is only "a few weeks stock available" of the Apple smartphone. Unsubsidized iPhone 3G price revealed, sort of

It has been revealed the prices that Vodafone in Italy will sell the iPhone 3G for without a new agreement. According to the Vodafone Italy iPhone 3G web site, the device will sell for €499/€569 ($773/$881) for the 8GB/16GB models. Vodafone secure ten market iPhone deal for later in 2008

Vodafone have issued a short press release confirming that they will be selling the iPhone in ten markets later on this year.  These will include Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey.  Previous sources had tipped the Indian deal, but this is a significant step for the carrier overall. continued »

Indian iPhone rumored for September Vodafone launch

Business Standard is reporting that Apple will launch the iPhone in India come September this year.  Quoting "Apple retail sources", the paper suggests that an exclusive deal for the handset is under discussion, and that the 8GB version will be priced at Rs. 27000-28000 ($680-700).  No details on contract obligation have been suggested. continued »

Samsung F700 gets a carrier and a new name

The Samsung F700, now known as the Croix, thanks to a deal with Vodafone is quite the amazing device.
