Starbucks has been offering its app on the iPhone and the Blackberry for a while now that lets people pay with their smartphone by scanning a bar code. Apparently, the app is very popular. Starbucks recently announced that more than 3 million people have used it.

Today is the big day; the iPhone 4 is in Verizon stores for anyone to order. I suggest ordering early, I would think the supply might be short.

The free WiFi at AT&T hotspots for the iPhone has been an interesting and on going saga. It has been confusing, with AT&T allowing free WiFi access, then just as fast, taking it away. Either way, it is back now, and more than that, it is official. Hopefully this time it is here to stay.

Bad news for iPhone users that enjoy hanging out at the local Starbucks. It seems that the free WiFi for the iPhone courtesy of AT&T, has been disabled. No explanation was given, just working one minute, not working the next. Also, there was no mention when, or if, the WiFi offering would be back. Wow, that was some short lived ...

Some iPhone users on AT&T are noticing a pleasant surprise the last few days, free access to AT&T wireless hot spots using their iPhone. If you have a slight addiction to Starbucks coffee as well as an addiction to Apple technology you're in luck. Thanks to Apple's deal with Starbucks for free WiFi at their stores you'll be able to order your favorite coffee without dealing with long lines.

So yesterday was the launch day of the new Starbucks and Apple corporate whoring deal. According to John Fischetti, Starbucks are “every block up in this bitch” in NYC so he had plenty of opportunity to give it a go.

October 2nd will be the launch of the Starbucks and Apple Wi-Fi iTunes Store partnership deal. The program will roll out in New York (city? State?) and Seattle and Starbucks will be passing out Song of the Day cards as well as a couple other promotions.
