The iPhone 2.0.2 software update came out today and though its intent was unspecific ("bug fixes") it looks as if the results are truly impressive. Vincent tested OS 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 side by side in a series of speed tests using Mobile Safari and the results speak for themselves.   3G performance on the phone running 2.0.2 was by far improved. ... continued »

iPhone GPS Issues after 2.0.1 update

Well, it looks like the iPhone isn't out of the woods yet. Since the recent 2.0.1 update, my phone has been running faster, typing has gotten smoother and my apps crash much less often. iPhone 2.0.1 Install Bricks Phones in Airplane Mode?

Looks like you're really going to want to disable Airplane mode before installing the iPhone OS 2.0.1 update. Failing to do so can result in a bricked phone. How do you know this has happened? An iPhone 2.0 update appears to be on the way, as AppleInsider has caught a screenshot of an iPhone running software version 2.0.1. What will this update entail?
