iOS 6 adoption rate levels out at 60%, Apple rubber-banding patent may be invalid, US Immigrations and Customs switches to the iPhone





The adoption rate of iOS 6 has leveled out at 60% after one month of the new operating system being available. The significant adoption rate proves that despite shortcomings with Apple’s own maps, criticisms of the new operating system aren’t stopping people from upgrading.

The USPTO has preliminarily invalidated a patent held by Apple for the bounce scroll rubber banding. The patent number is 7,469,381 and has been tentatively withdrawn by the patent and trademark office due to “lack of novelty” among other factors.

The US Immigrations and Customs department has ditched their BlackBerry smartphones. Employees of the government organization had moved to the iPhone as a replacement after years of BlackBerry use.
