Vincent wasn't the only one to snag some sneaky shots of the Fifth Ave. store in Manhattan. Here are a few pics to tease you as the last few minutes trickle by.

Hey all, there's a lot of excitement here at the Apple Store on 5th Ave., Manhattan. I just scored a peak at the new backside of the store. Not much to see yet, so stay tune.
I'm really sorry I can't upload videos and images, but will do it later. 25 minutes to go...and I need to run now ...

While Vincent suffers rain, our other Apple-aholic Ewdi just had to wander down to his local AT&T and get in line this morning to catch the number nine spot. Waiting since 9am (and looking pretty happy in this photo), it's early afternoon as I write this and he's only been joined by another five or so people.

It's just after 2PM EST, which means that the Apple stores are now closed on the East Coast. They've closed down the stores to rearrange the place for the 6PM launch of the iPhone. Learning from the extreme anti-AT&T sentiment in the US, the ...

We're used to hearing about people getting rowdy at game console launches, but this is one of the first attempted muggings that I've heard of at a phone launch. Steven Levy was being interviewed by Fox news when a man ran up and wrestled a device from the reporters hands.
What is really interesting is that the guy didn't go for ...

I was in the right place at the right time when I snagged this clip of Steven Levy with Newsweek, being interviewed by Brian of CNBC. If you recall, Steven is one of two people in Manhattan and one of four people in the country to receive a review unit.

If you thought that the scene around your local Apple store was turning into a circus, you should see the flagship store in San Fransisco. They literally have a circus there.
