The wait is almost over, and it will definitely be worth every single second living on the streets of Manhattan over the past two days.
Remember that Apple and AT&T will close down for a few hours and reopens at 6PM local time to start selling the iPhone. The 4GB and 8Gb sell for $499 and $599, respectively.

Remember Operation Fine Edge? That's AT&T's new project to boost speeds of their EDGE network so that they will be much faster. The operation was said to be completed by June 15th which has come and gone without anyone noticing any big differences. Until now.

AT&T said it would limit iPhone sales to one per person during the launch on Friday. Apple stores is expected to do the same according to some reports on the internet, however Apple stores will allow two iPhones per person.

Apple's CEO Steve Jobs announced earlier in an all hands meeting that all employees with 1+ year of service would receive a free 8GB iPhone by end of July! So does this count towards the 10M units Apple is targeting to sell by end of 2008?
