Some iPhone 4 users can get $15, Apple products in half of US homes

If you own an iPhone 4 I’m sure you remember the antennagate scandal when the device first launched. The scandal had to do with what people tell the phone a certain way they could lose antenna strength. Steve Jobs famously quipped people shouldn’t hold it like that.

If you own an iPhone 4 and didn’t take Apple up on its offer of a free bumper in the original settlement, you can now claim $15. There are caveats to the settlement though namely you had to have suffered from the intent issue and not been able to return the phone without being out-of-pocket. A new survey has shown that Apple products are now in half of all homes in the United States.

Many those products will be the iPhone and iPad, and more still will be iPods. There are an ever-increasing number of Mac computers in homes as well. The survey also showed that one in 10 people that don’t own an Apple product into the by one within the next year.
