The O2 network in London has reportedly had an AT&T-like reduction in service quality under the weight of the iPhone user demand. O2 has apologized to Londoners for the poor network quality over the last six months.

AT&T has pulled the plug on online sales of the iPhone in NYC. Exactly why the company isn’t selling the devices online is unknown; you can apparently still buy the handsets in stores in NYC.

Vodafone is set to get the iPhone 3G and 3GS on its network in the UK starting on January 14. The handset will be offered free on some plans and tethering will be offered for an additional monthly charge.

We don’t know yet if Verizon is going to land the iPhone once AT&T's chokehold on the device ends. Verizon is ready if the handset does come its way though and has announced that it has made upgrades to its network to handle the new data use if it gets the iPhone.

Most iPhone users have had their share of ire and angst with AT&T over poor service at one time or another. The NYT is now blaming the iPhone for the woes on the AT&T network. The story is even more suspect when you find that the main source of the info is a paid AT&T consultant.

A patent application from Apple has turned up that shows a very interesting dock for the iPhone. The dock uses a spongy elastic material co to conform to the iPhone.
